This is what happens when you have a generation of drivers grew up driving powerful cars with electronic nannies that saves them from their lack of any driving skills.
"I turned off DSC, I dunno what happened!!???!?!?!"
This is why the BMWCCA schools and their insistence on leaving DSC on in slow groups is causing all kinds of spectacular crashes when students get graduated into A and B group without knowing how to do a simple correction.
That ping pong down the hill by an E39 M5 at Sears Point was really quite something to watch. But nooo, let's leave DSC on while you are in slow groups so you don't get to learn how to drive.
^^ Makes one appreciate learning to drive without the nannies.
Lame example, but my very first day at autox it was pouring. As a rookie, I needed a seasoned autoxer riding shotgun. The first guy told me to keep DSC on - which I found weird, but I didn't wan't about to argue. The next guy (Steve Hazard in case anyone knows) said that was retarded and had me shut it off. It was fun as hell and VERY educational.
And this is just autox.

Yup - I started driving at a time when the clunkers available to teens often didn't even have power anything (driving - mid-70's; cars - 60's).
So far, the record for "crash closest to the Atom factory at delivery" is about a block away. That's the UK factory.

Got ya beat on that one.... About 10 feet, if that, from the dealership's door... but not due to wet roads, just driver incompetence.... Picking up my E46 and started to back out of the garage at the dealership. Luckily I was going extruciating slowly and watching where I was going by looking out the rear window..... Had to stop short when the idiot across the street in an X5 started to back out of the driveway for the dealership's service area without looking..... I started honking my horn and both the salesman and the service manager tried to get the X5 to stop with no luck.... Dropped it in to first and scooted forward to avoid being hit until the X5 finally stopped.

wow...:stukabot: Stukabot 1.0 returns!
rear tyres were worn out, i was about to change them in 2 days, cars swerved all over the road and this is the result on a cold damp road
Naturally, the guy dodges all personal responsibility by blaming it on the tires, the car, and finally on the cold damp road.
If only he had had Brembos.
