You thinking about that one?
Nope. If I go for a 986, it needs to be an S.

Surprising - the have Panamaras for immediate delivery. I can't believe there wasn't a line out the door waiting for them to show up.

Or maybe not.

I would be interested in a 09 S with MT. I'd oversee lack of LSD for a leftover deal.

An 00 for 12.9? Tempting if in good condition.

Who knows whether the guy was feeding me a line, but when I was in at HBL a few days ago I asked about the Panamera, and they said that at that point they were selling them about as fast as they could get them. They did have a couple of demos on hand, and at least two people came in for a test drive in the time I was there.

It's a massively ugly car, but if a) I had the money, b) I needed a 4 door, and c) I didn't mind a wankermatic, I'd consider one--I'd probably buy one before I bought a 7 or an S class (both of which are auto only).

I was at Herb Chambers Porsche the other day and they had 3 Panameras in the showroom, plus a handful more back in the shop.

The kids were crawling around the one in HBL's showroom when this picture was taken.

Honestly, I didn't think it was *that* ugly.

A guy at my firm bought a Panamera Turbo just like the one in the pic above. Haven't taken a drive in it, but damn it sure looks nice.

Honestly, I didn't think it was *that* ugly.

The front end is pretty nice (other than being huge). It's got a very nicely sculpted hood and certainly looks much more exotic than a 7er or S-class. But the rear end is too hunchbacky.:ack:

By all accounts it's the real deal dynamically and performace-wise. I just much rather have an E90 M3 (pr CTS-V is you want something larger) and a CPO 987S for the same money.

Yea, not too crazy about the back end of it.

I have always thought it looked great in that particular view. It's the other views that make you gag.

On the other hand, if you consider the target market, it makes a lot of sense. It stands out. It can't be confused with anything else. Anybody that sees it knows it's expensive and therefore knows you have a lot of money. I suppose the are selling fine for a niche car.
