Signs By Tomorrow-Essex heads up big time sponsorship effort for Team WTF?!. Total sponsorship value to-date is estimated at northwards of $27. As you can see in the last picture, the public is mildly amused.

JST manages to slip through another event with no photographic evidence.

Drove the WRX today. Not so much fun. Lot of plowing. Lot of rolling. Gearing is all wrong. No low-end torque, so you can't leave it in second and dig out of corners, but short gearing means you run out of first very very fast.

Driving AWD cars requires a much different technique than driving RWD cars, especially high-powered RWD cars. Maybe with more practice I'd enjoy it more, but I don't think so--herdng the WRX around the course just wasn't that much fun.

You're not going to believe this. I went to do a google image search for a pic of an old Subie doing some sort of enduro or demolition derby (to make the stealthy JST feel better about no picture), and here's the first google image that you get when you search on "Subaru".

Someone said they wanted a WTF?! Umbrella Girl or spokesmodel. (forget work safe, this isn't life safe)........

As between the dead squirrel currently rotting in my crawlspace (this is #2, for those counting at home) and this pic, I am honestly at a loss to explain which is contributing more to my nausea.

Results are not up yet, but at least according to the lineup, there was only 1 other D Stock car running today, so maybe by switching cars I guaranteed myself a second place finish.

And just 5/100s out of first, according to the notebook in the timing tent...

EDIT: Of course, that also means I was DFL.

Dammit.

My suspicion is that the squirrel, if I were to see it, would be more disgusting than even the guts-out-the-back-tongue-out-the-front frog. Hell, I'm not even sure it's a squirrel--it could be a panther, for all I know. It certainly stinks enough to be something big.
