I probably should have bought JV's Altima. Whoops.

Looking for something really, really cheap, reasonably reliable, has 4 doors, and working air conditioning.

Intended use is to have a back up car with four seat "just in case." In reality, it would probably sit 364 days a year if I didn't feel compelled to drive it a little more frequently just to make sure it's still working.

Make/model/transmission/cosmetic condition don't really matter. Cheap matters. Not *needing* a whole lot initially matters. Not smelling funky (on the inside) matters.

Under $1k would be ideal. $2k max for a really super example. Trade for a non-running 1989 Corvette 6sp a possibility.

Oh, and if you'd like some unsolicited advice..

This plan makes no sense.

Is there some reason why rentals can't fulfill the domestic tranquility need?

Note to Clyde: Ignore any feedback from either Matt or Alex in any thread which contains a domestic tranquility factor.

You're asking the wrong person. ;)
