 This is too funny! I voted No, but I understand the waffling FC. It took me over 2 years to finally decide that I wanted a ZHP over an E36 M3.

You all will notice that I have largely quit posting my deliberations. I'll ask a specific question abut something I'm thinking about.

I look forward to the day I get to post pictures of the Porsche I just bought without having talked it up in advance.

I voted YES. I think he might just do it. Why not.......this is one of the greatest markets to buy a low mileage used sports car.

You guys mock me all you want, I certainly have earned it, but be aware that I may rely on the 'mudgeon network for checking out potential cars since the northeast is thin on Elises and even P-cars.

Hmmm...maybe I can convince ATY to let me take his Lotus out for you and test it out...

Any way to change my vote?

my only comment is that come this fall (late fall), you'll have a lot more choices.

you're going headfirst into peak buying season right now and you might only end up compromising where caution might serve you better to get the car you want so you have less regrets.

It's hard to go wrong with a 3.4L 987, but agreed, you should really be sure you want the boxster over the cayman (at that budget, caymans are possible) and that cocoa interior is acceptable... etc. etc. I agree with Lem on this. You've waited a long time, be very sure.

I agree that deals will be better come fall, but that car is pretty hard to argue with, and I think that the cocoa interior is slick.

If I wait until fall I will have lost precious driving months AND my wife being at home for maternity leave.
