2006 BMW 330i, 37k miles
Late 06, original warranty till 5/31/2010, CPO till 5/31/2012.
6-speed manual
Black sapphire metallic/terra leather
Premium, Sports, Cold Weather packages
Sirius Satellite Radio
Xenons, logic7 standard
Freshly detailed body, close to 9.5/10 other than minor scratch on rear bumper
Nearly new set of michelin PS2 runflats, less than 1500 miles on them.

I am not considering a number below $24.5k. If it doesn't sell, so be it.

I remember when my car used to be worth that.

Good luck with the sale.

So, yours is my old 330i plus fold-down seats, headlight washers, satellite radio and a wooden shift knob. And 5k less miles.

And black tail lights (which I may remove, there have already been part out inquiries) and possibly a later in service date... But the headlight washers are a net negative. They leaked on my 330xi (had them fixed under warranty) and leaked in this one (had them fixed under warranty). I always put winter fluid in, but the stupid nj dealers insist on mixing water... Then the high-pressure jets by the headlights break. They have also damaged the paint on the front bumper a bit. The fold downs are a requirement for my skiing.

I think this is a good price, but I'm not going to bend over to sell. I have a spare tire, a ski/bike rack (never mounted), a set of snow tires, so the car is all set up. I just put it out as I'm having a hankering for rs4's. It's no doubt more rational to own this at this price for another 1-2 years. It also has one big benefit over the s4/rs4's in terms of range.. Getting 30mpg highway means I can get to Stowe (350miles away) with no refueling.

I got curious because of this thread and looked up the value of my car. Edmunds thinks it is worth less than $10K now. I'm not selling.

Bike rack? Which kind? Are you going to sell that? (I don't really "need" a bike rack since we have the mini van, but . . .)

if you still have this in January, there's an 85% chance I'll buy it.

Where did you get those taillight lenses? Is there a preferred (read as, cheap) source for those?

Do you have this posted elsewhere? If so, can I get a link. I have a co-worker who might be interested, but I'd prefer not to worry about what else he might see here. :eeps:

Alex

JST, the black lines really do pick up the 06-08 sedan. I recommend them. There is an easy DIY in e90post. Most dealers sell them, among them two NJ dealers, Morristown and Bloomfield. I'm close enough to the latter than upon ebay purchase, I picked up in person. List is perhaps $300, but I think I paid in the $240-280 range. Just do an ebay search for black line tail lights (e90) and you'll find the willing parts dept.

Alex, sure... Here are some links:

Well it's not done yet, but there is someone very interested in e90post...

I actually think the car is worth $500-800 more than the agreed upon price, but my experience has been that with such a little discount, the sale happens quickly and painlessly. It might take 6-8 weeks to get that extra $500-800, which imho, is not worth the hassle.

SCA, Munich should buy your car.

I agree, the same happened with my car. I threw the old winter wheels in to close the deal and it sold within a week. Considering I had 4 cars at the time, I was happy to sell it quickly.

The buyer sent me the certified check information... After being so uncharacteristically decisive, now, when it's kind of too late, I'm having second thoughts about selling the damned car.

Nah, I think you will be very happy with the S4. It seems perfect for you. If they offered the Avant I'd tell you to get that just because more versatility is always better, but the car seems pretty sweet.

I agonized after buying the 987S just because I knew that meant the ZHP had to go. I am still amazed as to how little I miss it. In fact, I regret not buying the JK. I had it ordered at the best time there ever was. I could sell that JK now and make thousands. I withdrew the order only because I knew the ZHP would have to go and feared regretting being forced to do that. In retrospect, I would not have had to buy the JGC, and while my budget would have been smaller, I could have bought JV's car.

I think that would have been a pretty good move. I love the 987S though, so I am not too bummed out about it. I can always buy that jeep down the line and plan to sooner or later - my wife is on board with that too.

I know you like it, but I think if you swap it for the S4, you will be much happier. Unless the $$$ delta worries you, I don't think you will worry much about this move after owning the S4 for a bit.

Sold.

The $$$ delta does worry me, I'll post my waffling on the original thread.
