Since it was your car, did those cups damage the paint in any way? Scratches? Did you guys have to prep. the area to make it stick?

I know what those rigs look like, just on a fence whether to get one or not...

As long as it's (cups and mounting surface) clean there's nothing to worry about. If it's not clean, it's not going to stick, so...
