I don't know how many folks here still have an E46 (or Mini) with DVD navigation, but if you do...
nomad over at X5 World's navigation forums (http://www.x5world.com/navigation-system/57326-poison.html) has come up with a utility to add POIs to the MK IV DVD map and to generate voice warnings when approaching one. Useful for speed cameras, red light cameras, or other things. Click on the link above for more information, or watch this YouTube video (ignore the trance soundtrack if it bothers you - the interesting stuff happens on the NAV within a few seconds anyway):
