Last week I had my wife's Z3 in the shop getting Inspection I done and noticed an Aluminum Shift Knob in a display case. So I think to myself, that looks like a UUC Knob. Sure enough, it was a UUC Knob lying right beside a UUC SSK. Then I see that they have Brembo brochures and I start asking the Parts guys questions.

Apparently, many people have requested the Brake Upgrades and SSK's and they got tired of turning people away. While I found this pretty interesting, I wonder what type of warranty issues it causes. For instance, if someone has the Dealer install an SSK and then has tranny problems out of state, I wonder what the out-of-state dealer would say? I know this is a bad example, but you get what I am saying.

Regardless, the dealer is Global and they say the Brembo's do not void the brake warranty, which I find very interesting. I just wonder what other Service Departments would have to say about that? I do find it great that they are starting to carry performance upgrades besides Dinan. It speaks well of UUC!

Momentum in Houston sells just about any aftermarket product that you can think of.

That is great. I had never heard of a BMW Dealer carrying anything other than Dinan. I just assumed they did not carry other manufacturers due to warranty concerns.

Long Beach BMW here in California offers Brembo upgrade as well. They also sell Escort radar detector.

It's indeed rare for BMW dealers to sell aftermarket parts. IMO, I think they should have done it long time ago... :)
