I had no idea how far I was from the cones... Maybe I'll start getting close enough to hit them again.

Not when you're supposed to tap the cones with your rear wheel.

Actually, I'm really pissed off because I went into full opposite lock AND sucked a cone into the wheel well with the camera facing the other way... And the force of it pulled the cable out of my POS DV cam.

Well, at least you're CONSISTENT. The distance you're off of the cones were about the same...Between 6-8" from what I could tell.

Of course, we can't see the apex cones on the driver's side.

I almost fell asleep watching that.

The consistent difference is more like 18"

I need to start hitting more cones.

I have not been to auto-x in a while, but isn't the point NOT to hit the cones?

Yea, you want to be closer, but hitting is bad.

Btw, the driving looks smooth though...

The point is to get fast without hitting the cones... But the two days that I've gotten over my fear of them, I've been one hell of a lot faster on my clean laps.

Yea, you can't be afraid. Fast drivers hit cones several times an event.

btw, don't you think you should get the moster wagon out of your sig?

Once the cone hitting technique is perfected, it works like a charm. i.e. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=216155
