Driving around today in a coldish rain storm (about 37-39F), I'm very very impressed with these tires. They grip, not sure how progressive they'll be when they lose grip (running errands with no room/margin for slide).
Even if it doesn't snow this winter, the dunlop winters have proved their worth. Funny that it's my second time with these tires, I've had them on the e39, and I wasn't as ridiculuously impressed. Part of that I give to the sizes/car, the e90 is on 225/45-17, the e39 was on 225/55-16 and those felt wallowier. The other part of the impressive feeling is that this is essentially a back-to-back with summer RFT's, so the improvement in the cold is quite noticeable. My traction control light would have been twinkling all day had I the summer RFT's on.
