2002A (www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b3779080c4d3)
Now I've seen all sorts of 'clean' cars, but... Jeezzeee... this is just as it rolled off the boat 30 years ago. It's an automatic no less. I'm torn as to weather I'd put a 5-speed in it or leave it stock. As much as the slush-box 2002's are not desireable, the originality of this one really pushes me into thinking it might be worth it to maintian it as is.
OMG. I've never seen an automatic 2002 before, and this one is STUNNING. Holy cow!

As an aside.....
The 3.0CS E9 coupe that I am looking to purchase is in the same 'condition'. It is absolutely original down to the having the window sticker folded up and kept in the glove box. I've just got to come to the point where I am ready to put my money where my mouth is.
I just wish it wasn't so 'much' money my mouth is working on.

:lol:You bastage! That is a car worth spending a few bucks on. Not that 2002s aren't, but there are relatively plenty of those around, and resto projects on them are not nearly as difficult.

Gorgeous, gorgeous car! If you don't mind my asking, what does one in such condition go for?

Pushing $20k
The kicker is that I don't know if I want to get a car that can literally rust away just sitting in the garage. They are famous for that. The truly amazing thing is that the car I'm looking at is totally free of any rust (cancer) in all the usual places that typically cause problems. Hopefully later this spring/summer I'll be in a position to do something. Right now, my wife's not working and we just signed for re-financing the house yesterday and I didn't want to do anything 'major' to possibly upset that apple cart, so...
You never know....

I wasn't aware of the rust issues, but I can certainly understand your lusting after the car. It is a beautiful design.
