I'm not sure I'm exactly happy to have moved 'out to the country' to possibly have this come in about 8 miles from where I live.....
Herald Story (http://www.heraldnet.com/Stories/04/4/14/18474903.cfm) or Seattle PI (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/168982_nascar14.html)
I'm kinda torn on what to think -
On one hand it would really increase the motorsports available to us here in Seattle. Too bad it's going to be a NASCAR track. Hopefully other forms of racing/motorsports will be able to use it.
On the other hand, the location(s) being looked at are close to where MANY people live. I moved out here to get away from all the noise and commotion of suburban life....
:?:
Oh well.... Live goes on....

AFAIK, most tracks that have major events only have a couple of them a year. Theyrest of the time, they're renting them out for testing, driver schools and low-key, sparsely attended events.

When I was living in CA, I spent a lot of time on the property of a friend's grandmother who lived very close to Sears Point. It was bad the weekend of the Winston Cup race, but almost unnoticeable for every other event they held.
