Hello all,
I just took delivery of my first new Bimmer, an Imola (!) 330i Perf. Pkg.
Only options are fold downs and Xenon.
This car is fantastic and just the sound of the exhaust reminds me of the couple of drives in my cousin's E36 M3. Havent had much time to do any maneuvering or fast driving yet since I have driven it only 14 miles. However, I did get the traction control to blip on for a second going around a 90 degree turn at about 35 MPH! Plan on putting 75 miles on it tomorrow! :D More updates then.
I posted a few pics in the album section:

Congrats!!
It looks great. I can't believe you still haven't gotten through the break in period yet.
Imola Red is by far the best color for an ZHP 330i.

Thanks everyone! Just went for a night drive. I am very impressed with the Xenons. Take a little getting used to because they are almost hypnotic! Cant express how much I am enjoying the sound of the exhaust and the pure passion I have for the comfort the handling and feel the car gives me. Imola Red is absolutely stunning in any light, even in twilight.

Congratulations! I've had mine about 8 weeks now, and I just fall more in love with it every day.
I just got back from my 6th track day in the new car, and these things just LOVE the track!

Actually I just drove it for the first time this morning. All I can say is WOW! It is simply amazing how well a car can handle with the proper suspension, gearing, and power. Ooooo...and how nice the exhaust sounds!!

Of course we'll all be there.
Looks like Bob, Larry and myself will all be in DS as well. I would have thought they'd put you in CS. See ya Sunday!

Yeah they still don't have the Perf Pack listed. I'll try to show up REALLY early this time. Looks like good weather. See you then.

killerdeck, get yourself one of these foam paint brushes to clean between the wheel "spokes". Works like a champ. They're usually less than $1 at most any craft store, Walmart, etc. I use one that is about 2" in width.

Should be a beautiful day too (finally). If you end up sticking around for the entire day, we usualy head to the local Irish pub afterwards for a couple pints.

Thanks ff for the great idea for cleaning the rims. I had not thought about before.
Thanks ff for the great idea for cleaning the rims. I had not thought about before.
It does work great. Believe it or not, I find them easier to clean than the M68's.
I use a big sponge and wipe the front of the wheel. Then I use the sam esponge and I clean the large opennings. Finnaly I grab the little sponge ff mentioned, and quickly go through the thin spokes.
At least there are no corners like the M68's have. It may be tough to clean these 135's but when you are done, you will be rewarded. :D

Hey mbr,
I was employing the "slave labor" (i.e. the wifey!) to clean in between the spokes since her fingers are so tiny! I would then do the rest with. She wanted to help, so I set her up. It was very funny to see her with brake dust on her hands.

Lucky you. My fiancee hasn't touched a car sponge/mitt in years. I have to do it all.

Heheheheh...
...soon you can replace 'fiancee' with 'wife' and 'car sponge/mitt' with...umm...something else....and the above sentence will still be true!
heheheheh...
