Something ain't right when you run into people you know at the tire store. Keefe (the one that, until recently, had the silly Salazar decals on his WRX) was at Radial when I picked up my Hoosiers this afternoon. I should probably get to know him better now that I'm a ricer too. :D

I said in the other thread that they quoted me $12/ea to mount the Hoosiers. They wound up charging me $12.50/ea...the quote was based on 17" not 18". :lol:

I had one of our local club members come up to me and start chatting at Bellevue Discount when I was getting Azenis for the Miata and he was getting big hurkin' tires for his E30.

I wish they charged me $12 to mount my 14s. :P

This was a special case, though, as the tires I was getting were from a very small production batch. Gary from TireRack guaranteed that I'd get a set from that batch and mustgetitnowitis led to the snap decision to order from them

yeah.

it makes a difference when you've built a business relationship with a franchise and order your tires from them over time. they're less likely to rip you off at full retail MSRP for tires and also for the install.

See, it's not so bad when you know people at the tire shop...

It's REALLY bad when you walk in and they all know your name. :eek:
