Bastiges.

The oil companies, that is.

Here we go again.

Politics....
Pure politics...

"Horse-hockey" as Col. Potter would say....

I love it how everyone wants to have 'free enterprise' but ...

Price Study (http://api-ec.api.org/filelibrary/PriceofGasolineComparedtoOtherCommonConsumerItems. pdf)

Fuel is one of the cheaper 'commodities' that we have had over the long term.....

In Claifornia, they have carefully designed free enterprise right out of the equation. They have set up an artificial market, created artificial constraints, and allowed the oil companies that managed to be insiders suck us as dry as they can.

If I really believed oxygenated gas helped air quality, I wouldn't be quite so bitter.

I agree; what I'm objecting to is the differential treatment of West states by the oil companies. It's not a hiccup, it's a trend.

This happened last years as well. They claim that it's due to supply from Arabia but if you go to a station like Tesoro, which has oil from Alaska, the price is the same as at Shell etc...

If the supply from the united emrites is the reason the Alaska gas should remain uneffected.
