HACK can get them for you cheaper....
What about in_d_haus/bimmernut?
Didn't he offer a 10% discount to all BE members at Euro Auto?
And his list price is $350.

Time to get off the shovel.
Sways? Child's play! :D We're running out of weekends at my place, so I don't think I can host another mod meet (aside from attempting to start my own car). But if you need help, that's not a problem.

By late April, it should be warm enough for me to consider hosting a tech day. (I'm just not into being cold.) And, really, that's only a month out.

You all have UCC here in backroom, my bad......
I guess I was more interested in knowing why you chose them compared to other brands.

Here's a question- Why HR?
Suggestion from a nonUCC person ;)
Seriously, is there a strong point to UCC :?:
I have stock sways right now. I had UUC sways on my E46. I haven't done any research on the subject since way back then.
I assumed that they were still the brand of choice.

UUC over other brands.
The ideal setup, actually, is to use M3 front sways and UUC rear sways (the thickest combination). But UUC sways are cheaper, more balanced (at the same setting front and rear on a none-staggered setup it creates almost dead on NEUTRAL setting...Before I installed the strut brace I can literally throw the car into oversteer or understeer at will), the adjustible endlinks prevent the sways from bumping into the driveshaft or other suspension pieces, and it's more durable than other solutions although they creak and make a lot of noise.
They're all good, and depending on what you're trying to do with your car...If you're turning the ZHP into a race car then you should forgo all the different aftermarket sways and go with Ground Control or that company that makes the hollow sways in 95PTGM3's car. If you're just looking to dial out some understeer, body roll, and offer some adjustibility, then almost all the aftermarket sways offer you the same thing. The winning bidder is just price.
By the way, talk to 'Nut about the discount first on UUC stuff. I'm not about to pimp my services here...My UUC discount is now strictly a courtesy for SCTS Tribe members now (too much hassle).

I still have a tiny bit of rubbing against the drive axle (? what's the term I'm looking for here?) on the passenger side when under extreme suspension conditions, but it's negligible.
The squeaking and creaking is interminable, though... but it's worth it.
(and it's UUC, not UCC, Mr. [HACK EDIT]hil.)

Yes, you don't want the Uniform Commercial Code swaybars. They are way too litigious.
The term you are looking for is "halfshaft."
Ditto what HACK says.
Yes, I sell the UUC sways.

I don't have the creaks and pops other complain about but road noise has increased. It would be nice to find rubber bushings instead of urethane, to limit the noise for a street car.

Phil dude...so you have more understeer now with the weight in the trunk? Upgrading both front and rear sways will reduce the body roll but *might* not do much with understeer/oversteer. I know these are soft/stiff adjustables, but recall that adding a stiffer front sway will induce understeer. Then you balance it with a stiffer rear sway and it brings it down again. At the end of the day you might still have the same amount of understeer.
Oh, of course you can soften up the front all the way, then stiffen the rear all the way. *Maybe* this might reduce understeer a bit...
Anyway, bottomline is the drastic change is bodyroll reduction.
Am I making sense?

There's more than one way to skin a body roll cat.
Springs and dampeners do as much to eliminate body roll as does swaybars. But if you want to do it right I would still suggest getting the UUC bar and set the rear to full stiff and front to medium to start, and experiment around.

Let me rephrase that...install UUC sways, set rear stiffest, set front to softest and you will be fine. But to further fine-tune over or understeer, you have to go with tire pressures, adjustable coilovers etc...
Yeah. ;)

Frankly, if you're going to be investing this much into "modding" the ZHP, I think you would've been much better off buying a regular 330i instead.
A lot of the bits and pieces you'll be replacing are part of the package that you paid for. You really would've been much better served by using a base 330i as the starting point if you're going to do significant mods, since your return in investment is a much higher margin. It's like someone paying for the HK system and then goes and rips the whole thing out to install an aftermarket stereo. :dunno:
But that's just my opinion.

but recall that adding a stiffer front sway will induce understeer.
Late response...
In a perfect world, this holds true, but no E46 exists in that perfect world. On camber challenged cars, such as E46s, stiffer front bars tend to reduce understeer. The sway bar's reduction of body roll allows the outside front tire to stay more upright and thus maintain a better contact patch which results in less understeer.

Since when do shocks do anything to eliminate body roll? Last I checked, they affect the roll rate but do nothing to limit max roll :?

Fine, if you had to nit-pick...
Springs do as much to eliminate body roll as does sways. However I highly recommend a set of upgraded dampeners for upgraded springs.

You've got a point. Which is why I advice that adjust whatever is necessary on the sways, let the other variables (adjustable shocks, tire pressures etc) to the trick. ;)

At least I did not pay extra for the HK system that I completely destroyed ;)
Point taken on the rest. Sways it is........... :D
General philosophy states you should upgrade your shoskc/springs before sways. With a tunable sway this is not necessarily true.
