Certainly an ambitious price point: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-marketplace/988057-2002-bmw-m3-laguna-seca-blue-no-options-18-587-miles.html

That color doesn't make me retch as much now as it did in 2001, but...um...no.

yeah, interesting that it is now the "hot" color again with Focus R, Porsche and the F80 M3 offering similar colors.

It's a little too much for me. Frankly the Estoril on my 2 series is as far as I can go in silly blues....

I've actually come to really like it. I should have bought CPO LSB/Black that I test drove instead of the new M3.

Have you seen the M2 Long Beach blue in person? Pretty silly blue, would be a tough decision to get it or not if I got a M2 and I am big fan of bright blues.

I have not seen it in person. And photos all look so different.

Is that the one that looks like LSB? It (and the Focus) are more of a Bugatti-esque French blue in my mind.

Ah, no, I was thinking of Yas Marina blue.

Also, that color name is awesome. YAAAS MARINA.

The Long Beach blue is weird. Really vivid.

Estoril II, in that pic, looks more like Montego (or Porsche Cobalt blue) than OG Estoril.

.. .

Yeah odd, sort of a tropical drink blue

Estoril I on my E36 has been my favorite. Interlagos on my e90 was OK, prefer a bit brighter without the purple tint.

This Santorini Blue M3 is for sale on bimmerpost. Individual Exterior/interior. About the perfect color combo in my opinion:

That is beautiful. Looks like E46 cinnamon.

It trends a little too close to Florida Gator territory for me; I can do garish interior or exterior, but not both.

Still, in isolation either color is amazing.

That works just fine for me. I would totally do it.

One less buyer to compete against.

I thought the price was fair for what it is. In Jersey too, so local enough for teh east coast festers (sorry WDC). I was thinking perfect for FC, but he's not ready to pull the trigger.

Isn't AF back on the market for something new?

FC should buy it. It's not as though one like this is going to show up again.

I had doubts about LSB when I first got it. They have since evaporated and not just due to it adding significant market value to my car.

I never hated the color; still remember dreamily sitting in the launch car at the 2001 NYIAS. But over time it has really grown on me. It is not as bright on person, has depth and shine to the point where you wonder if it's metallic or not. Looks best on a cloudy stormy day. Absolutely pne of the best blues ever IMHO and the market bears this out.

That f80 is kinda interesting perhaps I could sell the f10 and the e46 and get an m3 sedan. Not sure how much I'd love the new gen though. Whenever I triangulate like this and shop by spreadsheet it ends up failing. I really have to get a want in my hut, which is not often.
