Whoa is right. That hurts my eyes!
At least the interior is normal. Though, for that price I suspect they'll be sitting on it for a little while.

Except for the carbon fiber. And the terrible instrument cluster housing. And the giant "turbo" logo embossed on the armrest. And the stitching.
Is it possible to drive a car with your eyes closed?

It could have been a lot worse given the "brightness" of the exterior. Swap out that instrument cluster bit and you'd be in business.
You saw the pics of that full blood-red interior I posted a few days ago right?

True. It's sort of strange they didn't go with red. Or yellow.

Vinyl wrap FTW, following a steep, steep discount.
Never mind that. The green infection is complete.
I'd pass.

It's not my first choice, but I kind of like it.
Finding a Porsche in something other than 15 shades of gray is so rare that I can definitely understand someone wanting this.

Based on this thread title, I expected this to be a VW thread. I has disappoint.
A local physician has a 991.1 very similar to that color. :ack:

I disagree. It allows these idiots to "express their individuality" without actually destroying the car.
(It's also not a terrible thing for preserving the paint of a car you're tracking, but want to keep nice.)

And/or make look goofy for fun and change whenever at very little cost, unlike wraps.
I mean, yeah, people do stupid stuff with it, but I've seen some pretty nice stuff, too. If I'm not too lazy, I may even do autocross wheels for next year. And I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought a little about doing something with the XK8 once I bring it bring it back because I really don't like the color and I think it might be fun to try something.

Even applied "properly" it looks like complete shit. And the whole "easy peel-off" thing... not so much.
No meaningful protection against stone chips either.

Just telling you what I've been through. :dunno:
I will never again buy a set of wheels that have been plasti-dipped without the seller removing the crap first.

oh I believe it is a pain.
I had my mazda rims plastidipped for two year or so and they looked fine. I sold it to carmax so that had to deal with removing it but guessing they did not. But I guess the point is it is removable compared to normal paint.

Raise of hands from people that have looked at a car at a dealership, new or used, and been told, "No trouble to repaint it!" when expressing hesitation on a car because of its color.

More like "you can take the wallpaper down" when it covers every single wall in the house.

You can just paint over the plasti-dip like you would with wallpaper.

It's a much bigger problem on wheels as they get heated to a much greater degree.
