Copied from another board. I figure there isn't much going on here so you guys can oogle my awesome corvette. :)

For Sale:

2004 Corvette z06 z16 "Commemorative Edition"
31,400 miles
$28,500

Located near Baltimore MD.

Excellent condition inside and out. Autocrossed a handful of times in '14 and '15, always with a full nose bra, and with strategically located stickers to protect the paint. I also customized some generic mud flaps and stuck them on with double-sided tape to prevent any stone chips from being tossed against the body. The interior has no rips or tears, and shows very little wear.

The car is currently setup to full "Strano Spec" including:

SA Koni's front and rear
Strano rod-end lower mounts on the front shocks
Strano front sway bar
Ferodo DS2500 brake pads front and rear
autox alignment

Extras:

Borla mufflers (installed)
Front Hawk HP+ pads
CoverCraft custom fit car cover
GM service manual set

I have all of the stock parts, as well as both keys, all book/manuals, etc..

As you all know, this is an incredibly fun and capable autox car that just needs a competent driver to win. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as well as a fun weekend car for a family of three, so it's time for me to let it go. I am negotiable on price, and open to reasonable offers. If you are interested, let me know via PM or email: bbenger (at) gmail

you going to replace it with anything?

bren

Probably not immediately.

Ultimately I think a 911 will replace this and the m3.

I still have the '89 vette that needs attention, hopefully that will happen in the meantime.

It's because of all the money GM saved in lithography costs from leaving out the Us that it is the financially stable company it is today.

Bren ... Did your car sell ?

bren

No. So far I've had a few inquiries, and one offer that I declined.

I only listed it on one site primarily for the autox community. Decided that I'm not really interested in "winter" pricing so I figured I'd wait until spring to really bother with it

......of course, that's if I don't change my mind first. :eeps:

I read this whole thing as code for "I'm waiting for Clyde to pick up and sell the XK8 and turn around and buy this."

Waiting until spring is a good idea ... You can't get a worse time to sell a car then now ... Everyone wants a bargain because they know it's a buyers market this time of year.

Sold.

Got a call out of the blue by another autocrosser and he was so excited I couldn't bring myself to say no.

I was only planning on doing 2 or 3 more events before nationals anyway. The new owner offered me a seat for the Wilmington Pro, so I'm really only looking at a couple of local events, and then figuring out whether I'm going to Nat's.
