I drove a forklift from time to time when I worked for Sam's club while in college. I can recall a few fork-to-storage rack accidents that could've been avoided, had those wheels been in place back then. :eeps:

That could be amazing, depending on the details. Like cost, load limit, ability to be used in intermal combustion applications, maintenance, and so on.

The friction problems for that design at high speed would obliterate rollers.

I drove them too on the flight-line at times. In a wearhouse this would be awesome. To me, it seems that on a rougher concrete base, under a load, and moving sideways in the manner it is engineered to do would be very wearing.

I wonder. . . with the angle of thsoe rollers just how much wear there is. I would think if it's excessive the company wouldn't sell many. :dunno: Plus, if you're out and about outside a building the paving surfaces tend to be rougher with bigger joints 'n stuff. Might help to have some pnumatic wheels with some give and bounce since the forklifts have no suspension.

But you're right, a tight wearhouse is the idea place.

Hell, that thing may not even work at all if the floor isn't smooth.
