I hope the court gets so overburdened with cases that the legislatures that put them into law are forced to do something about it.
Or get thrown out of hte offices, I could only hope.
Our delegate had an editorial in the local paper saying that he has received more letters on this issue than on any other since he has been elected.
Fricking nuts. I hate the government of this state...er, "commonwealth."

That one woman is correct in that the law should apply to anyone driving in Virginia, not just to residents.
Of course, driving 57 in a 35 zone or 80 in a 55 zone is at least cause to be pulled over. Short of any other extenuating circumstances, such as the pregnant women being in labor, it should be for the ticketed driver to prove they were not driving in a reckless manner.
However, it does seem that the fees are somewhat excessive.
