I see them from time to time on the freeway, but I don't really know much about them.

Anyone driven them?

No, but in a Top Gear test of old vs. new the original GT40s beat out the Nobles. Just barely, though.

But knowing nothing else about them they seem a little too kit-car-ish for the price without having a high enough hot-shit factor.

I'd rather go for an Ultima: Lighter car, 500 hp small-block V8, and mid-engine. Roughly the same price.

Along teh lines of what lup said: Too much cash for being a kit car without being completely original.

For that much cash for a kit car, I rather own an Atom, or X-bow, or the goofy Elise roadster thingie.
