Dude,
At full blast, the 20 year old AC is barely able to keep me from sweating.

But it's a dry heat
Shit... 108 is downright cool...
My car showed 114 at ~2:45pm this afternoon when I was driving to an appointment. Fortunately, at 4pm it was only 108 at our house -- we're ~1200 feet higher than downtown, and usually 6-8 degrees cooler during the day and 14-19 degrees cooler after dark (Last Wed it was 106 at 9:30 pm about 14 miles from our house, but only 87 when I got home at 9:50...).
Edit - Forecast for downtown PHX is 117 for Wed...
I am thinking about tint. The AC in the 328 blows cold enough, but it's really not up to the job on hot days like yesterday. The added benefit would be for the munchkin and sun in her eyes.
What's amazing about that pic is that the thermometer still works.

I don't do tint, because cops hate it, and I drive too fast and need all the breaks that I can get.:eeps:
But it has crossed my mind many times, like today.:banghead:
I chose a tint that was too dark on a white car, I am afraid. Four days after having it installed, I got a fix it ticket. Now I have to decide wether to pay the ticket and take a chance on it being ignored for years or putting a lighter shade on. *sigh*

The AC in the E30 works better now, still not GT2 good, but after the 20 year old compressor died shortly after this post, we put in a new one.
And what a difference it made.
So did the tint. AC went from being able to keep one person comfrotable to keeping the car cool easily with no strain. But i will have to replace the compressor eventually as well. It's making some interesting noises.

Any chance you can get your doctor to write it up as a medical necessity? A couple people I know around here had that done.

The medical necessity was ... albinoism?

what part of town? i have pretty dark tint on my wrx plus my front windows are slightly tinted.
I got the same tint all around and it is very dark. The law says no tint on the front windows, period. It's not somethign they typcially give people a hard time about unless they really can't see in the car. Under the right light conditions, you can't see in my car. If I had known what it would look like before I picked the tint level, I would have backed it off a bit.
I could maybe get a letter for general light sensitivity, but that only lets you put something like an 80% light transmission film on the front. My 20% still wouldn't pass. I will probably have it removed and replaced with something lighter. It will make the car look not as good, but probably avoid more tickets. Or I might pay the ticket, gamble, and see if I get pulled over again. (probably not - I would spend too much time worrying that way)
I was stopped by a CHP motorcycle cop on the ramp from the 15 north to the 78 east in Escondido.

Ah, AC. . . Some day I want to convert the AC pump in my Jeep to an on-board air system. 7-9 cfm @ 40 psi would be nice for airing up tires. And with that out put I should be able to run air tools, too, if needed.
Good thing we don't really need AC in the NW.

yeah I dont use/need it here in coastal san diego except when I am dress up going to a wedding or job interview:) drain on the drivetrain bugs me
I leave mine off as often as I can (which is probably about 80% of the time), but it gets hot in the valleys. When it's 95 out, the AC goes on. (85 if I am getting on the highway and it was lower than that before tint - heh).
Out here, the car's AC button is left on from sometime in April to early Oct...
It was 89 degrees at the airport at 5:30 this morning...
