Yeah- looks more Lexus LS to me. It's a long way off from the concept car they showed:

Isn't the 7 the worst selling of all the uber-sedans? They really needed to hit it out of the park, and from a design perspective this doesn't really move things forward. Seems like a patsiche of all their current styling cues. The 7 should be the one that leads the way for the rest of the lineup.

The A8 was alway the also-ran in that class. If the 7 is selling worse than the A8, that's really sad thing for BMW...

Not sure what 2014 looked like, but the 7-series is typically a #2 in sales behind the S class.
