So, the Bridgestone A/T Revo 2s are getting towards the end of their lives. Between rear tread wear and the dry rot (IIRC, they were 2010 date stamped, so that's pretty embarrassing), they are on the list of things to deal with.

What's good today? I don't think that I would get these tires again. The A/T component makes the truck less pleasant 99.9999% of the time, and not meaningfully better in the remaining uses. And, again, they have not aged well at all.

My Dyno Pro ATM are starting to get a little noisy now that they are nearing the wear bars, but otherwise no complaints. They are certainly better than the OE Long Trail something or others.

For my next set I've been contemplating the Dura Grappler, or maybe the new BFG AT (if it comes in an E rating) just to try something different.

Depends if you are wanting to get road tires or all terrain tires.

I've had great luck with Bridgestone Alenzia's (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Dueler+H%2FL+Alenza&partnum=67TR6HLALNZOWL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=GMC&autoYear=2001&autoModel=Yukon%20XL%201500%204wd&autoModClar=). They are on our Yukon now....

My 'old standby' for truck tires is the Michelin LTX M/S (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=LTX+M%2FS). I have them on the F250 presently.

I would highly recommend both.

I do not have any experience with any of the more aggressive 'off road' tread pattern tires.

Not that our Honda Pilot is in the same category as a truck but - I just put a second set of the Michelin LTX M/S on it and I can back up what lip said. The Michelins are great. even in the Chicago winters. Highly recommend this tire.

My last set of Michelin ltx tires rotted very quickly, and more importantly, they don't have a very good range of load E sizes.

I'd love to hear some real world testimonial on the Dura Grappler so I say that's the way to go. :)

Hmm. My general inclination was to go LTX M/S. I guess I'll keep looking until its time to make the decision.

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A

Whatever the latest is, which I think is the KO or KO2.

They're an old stand by but a solid tire. They usually have a long wear life on them. It's what I'd go for if I was looking at an All-terrain instead of a Mud Terrain.

One thing that I want to go back to is an A/S tire. The A/T tires' additional tread noise is annoying for essentially zero benefit to me.

Have the Michelin LTX A/T2 on the 2500HD. I didn't buy them, they came on the truck. I wouldn't buy again. I'm looking at the M/S2 if I have to get tires for it before I let the truck go. Supposedly better fuel economy and better wet and dry traction. The A/T2 seems like they will last forever but they are a bit squirmy and noisy.

Actually, now that you mention it, the a/t2 was what I had. My wife even complained about their squirmy feeling.

The Dura Grappler looks to be very highway biased, I'm just worried they'll let me down in the snow.

We ran the BFG A/T on our Jeep Cherokee for MANY years, and MANY miles (it ended up with 349K on it). I liked them. Not too noisy, but awesome in all low traction conditions.

We have Yokohama Geolanders on the GC. Second set, not bad on the road or in snow. And pretty quiet.
